I Love to Write! led by Jo Howell
This practical and interactive session will provide you with the tools you need to inspire even the most reluctant of writers. Whether you work with individual pupils, small groups or a whole class, you will access materials that will be relevant to your role and enable pupils to progress.

Jo Howell is a headteacher, author and educational consultant who believes learning should be challenging, inspiring and purposeful. She has co-written books on writing and drama and recently wrote the teaching resources and co-designed the interactive website for the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda ‘Write Here Write Now’ national writing project.
A visiting tutor for the University of Warwick, she has lectured for the Drama in Education Masters programme, and for Teach First (at Birmingham UCE). As well as this, she has written and led literacy courses for educational establishments such as TLO, the Royal Shakespeare Company Education Department and Primary NQT Plus. Her most recent publications include; Creating Writing in the Primary Classroom, Creating Drama 4-7 and Creating Drama 7-11, all published by Routledge.
This event is free to those schools who subscribe to the Gateway Alliance – core offer CPD programme for TEACHING ASSISTANTS.
There is one place available per subscription. Additional places may be booked at a cost of £50 per person. Non-subscribing schools may attend, subject to availability, at a cost of £65 per person. Invoices to be paid prior to the event.
