We have had a very busy and exciting term during which we have led more than 20 events involving more than 650 school staff! Feedback from our events has been great with, on average, 100% of delegates rating these events as good or excellent.
Our subject leader conferences have again been a real success. On the 12th October Andrew Jeffrey joined us to lead our Maths Conference, sponsored by Oxford University Press. Andrew was inspiring and shared lots of practical ideas to bring maths to life in the classroom. Pie Corbett explored the thinking behind ‘Talk for Writing’ with us at our English Conference back on the 2nd November and then Jennifer Cotton gave our SENCo’s lots of ideas for how we can best support our pupils with Dyslexia at our SENCo Conference on the 15th November.
Following the success of this event last academic year we held another Science Conference on the 22nd November, in partnership with the Association for Science Education and the University of Warwick. Colleagues were inspired by our speakers Debbie and Eleanor who provided an opportunity to explore a range of themes including ‘Making Links Between Core Subjects’, ‘Enhancing Science Using QR Codes’ and ‘Fun Ways to Record in Science’.
Early Years colleagues had another unforgettable day with Shonette Bason-Wood at our autumn term Early Years Conference. Shonette shared a wealth of exciting ideas to inspire our Early Years leaders, which involved carving pumpkins, making edible play dough and creating magical potions!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and wish you a very Happy New Year.
