A successful re-launch of face-to-face events this half term!

This half term has seen the re-launch of our face-to-face events at Gateway Alliance. It has been a joy to have our networks back together in the same room to provide valuable opportunities to explore and deepen practice with fantastic knowledgeable and inspirational speakers.

Our face-to-face events this half term included:

  • SENCo conference: The Inclusive classroom-A new approach to differentiation, making it work in your school-Sara Alston and Distributed Leadership for SENCos -Kate Browning
  • Curriculum CPD: History and Geography in Early Years-Day David Weatherley and Sheena Wright
  • Curriculum CPD: Science-‘What’s new in Primary Science?’-Eleanor Atkinson
  • English Conference: Reading for Pleasure-Teresa Cremin and Sonia Thompson
  • Maths Conference: ‘Creating reasoning habits, building problem solvers’ -Gareth Metcalfe
  • Curriculum CPD: Art-Reboot and refine: ‘How to deep dive, thrive and up-level your curriculum’- Emily Gopaul
  • Learning & Teaching Conference: ‘Eat, sleep, teach, pause-rethinking how we do the every day, everyday’-Mark Creasy
  • Early Years Conference: ‘Scaffolding the development of language and communication: Effective interactions in the early years’ – Julie Fisher

Additional precautions in response to Covid have ensured that our events have run as safely as possible and the feedback received has been tremendous.

We have many more events planned for the remainder of the year with more stand-out speakers including Sir John Jones, Paul Dix, Neil Mercer and  Ellie Chettle Cully. More dedicated time and space for professional dialogue and development with colleagues across Warwickshire, Coventry and Walsall.
