Sustainability Network - Autumn Term Meeting 2026-27

Sustainability Leads’ Network Meeting

Led by Jo Pettifer

Overview

Working in partnership with 'Let's go Zero', our Sustainability Network offers a wealth of opportunities for those dedicated to promoting environmental protection and driving positive change for a sustainable future to come together to receive expert guidance through professional development – enhancing their skills to help them to thrive in their role, keeping up to date with research and developments and fostering collaboration by creating a community for sharing best practices, resources and advice.

In this meeting, the team from Let's Go Zero will be running two concurrent sessions, and attendees will be able to attend whichever suits their stage on the sustainability journey:

Session A, for schools new to Climate Action Planning - focus on energy saving

A 90-minute workshop to create your bespoke climate action plan to help your school or college save costs and reduce its energy use. Our expert advisors will support you to tailor the plan to suit your setting and share examples of impactful yet practical actions that other settings have completed, resulting in significant savings. You will leave the workshop equipped with the resources and knowledge to take action and the inspiration to get started.

Session B, for schools who already have a Climate Action Plan - advice clinic

A 90-minute networking session, where our expert advisors will invite you to share your successes so far but also any challenges or barriers to action you have encountered. Drawing on our experience and large bank of inspirational actions that other schools have undertaken, the Let's Go Zero team will help identify your next steps and solutions. As always, there will be plenty of opportunity to learn from other colleagues too and share your top tips together.

Meet our Sustainability Network Leader...
