DATE: Thursday 14th May 2020

TIME: 09:30-15:30

EVENT OVERVIEW:

This practical course focuses on both ongoing formative assessment and summative assessment, as well as how to track progress effectively. A key aim is making the whole process manageable and effective in helping you to support every child’s learning, whilst reducing the paperwork!

This course will help you:

  • make sure you capture the most important aspects of children’s learning and use this in your planning;
  • involve parents and children in the assessment process;
  • decide how to best document children’s learning;
  • ensure the data you produce is useful for your teaching and the children’s learning.

EVENT FACILITATOR:

Vicky Hutchin has many years of experience and an early years practitioner, teacher, writer, Local Authority consultant and Senior EYFS Regional Adviser in the National Strategies EY team. In 2011 Vicky became and Associate for Early Education and began working independently as a consultant, providing training and support on early years for schools and settings. She now runs training on early years pedagogy, assessment and more recently, returning to her roots around issues of equality.
