Leading Your Subject in a Broad Curriculum led by Jo Howell
DATE: Monday 18th November 2019
VENUE: Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth
COST: FREE to all schools that subscribe to the Curriculum CPD Offer. Additional places will be charged at £70 per person. For non-subscribing schools places are charged at £110 per person.
This half day session is for subject leaders/SLT and is FREE for all schools who subscribe to the Curriculum CPD Offer (1 place per subscribing school).
This half day session will focus on 2 core areas of subject leadership – Planning and Monitoring & Assessment.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This is session is targeted at primary curriculum subject leaders although Senior Leaders will also benefit from attending.
Jo Howell is a headteacher, author and educational consultant who believes learning should be challenging, inspiring and purposeful. She has co-written books on writing and drama and recently wrote the teaching resources and co-designed the interactive website for the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda ‘Write Here Write Now’ national writing project. A visiting tutor for the University of Warwick, she has lectured for the Drama in Education Masters programme, and for Teach First (at Birmingham UCE). As well as this, she has written and led courses for educational establishments such as TLO, the Royal Shakespeare Company Education Department and Primary NQT Plus. Her most recent publications include; Creating Writing in the Primary Classroom, Creating Drama 4-7 and Creating Drama 7-11, all published by Routledge.
