The School Business Manager (SBM) network will offer business managers an opportunity to access professional development focused specifically on their role and facilitated by an independent expert – Philippa Ollerhead – along with the opportunity to network with colleagues.

All sessions will begin with an update for Business Managers focussing on DfE, Ofsted and ESFA latest information.
Following up on the work carried out across the network during 2018-19, during this session we will support Business Managers to evaluate their SLA contracts and build a list of preferred suppliers. We will look at how we can access best value contracts, by negotiating locally, as a group of schools working in collaboration.
We will also discuss and evaluate services in areas such as communications, grounds and maintenance to find best value solutions for the schools within the collaboration.
Philippa Ollerhead is the Education Services Director for Judicium Education. She has 22 years experience in education, with 16 years at senior leadership level. As a highly experienced trainer & adviser, she has particular expertise in teaching & learning, leadership & management and pre- & post-OFSTED support. Philippa is also experienced at leading & managing whole organisation pastoral care, human resources & finance. Philippa is a training provider for the National Association of Headteachers & the National Association of School Business Managers.
