ADHD Awareness and Strategies to Use led by ADHD Solutions

ADHD Solutions CIC is an independent not for profit organisation set up to support children, young people and adults who have ADHD, their families and the professionals who are working with them.

This event will be facilitated by one of ADHD Solutions specialist coaches and during the session we will be exploring:

  • What ADHD looks like in the school context
  • Tools to support identification
  • How ADHD can impact on well-being
  • Strategies for support
  • Overview of research and case studies


Julie Allen is an ADHD Specialist Coach for ADHDS. Before joining ADHDS in 2014, Julie was a qualified Nursery Nurse volunteering with autistic play-schemes and residential camps. She also has experience working in Day Nurseries and Schools, and of being a parent link advisor across Leicester city with Education Action Zone. She became a Children’s Centre Leader and Area Manager giving support and advice to parents, managing services for parents, and coaching parents to develop their skills and to have a voice in the development of services. Julie then became the Service Manager covering the family support service across Leicester city providing the right service to vulnerable families to ensure parents have a voice, engaging children, young people and parents, and managing and coaching staff. Julie has extensive experience of delivering parenting programs and training professionals. Her qualifications include NNEB, NPQICL-National Professional Qualification in Integrated Centre Leadership.


This event is free to those schools who subscribe to the Gateway Alliance – core offer for SEN.

There is one place available per subscribing school. Additional places may be booked at a cost of £70 per person.  Non-subscribing schools may attend, subject to availability, at a cost of £110 per person. Invoices to be paid prior to the event.
