Maths Subject Leader Network Meeting (Autumn 2019) led by Vivien Townsend

Time: 12:30pm for a light buffet lunch, the meeting will take place 1:00 – 3:30pm

Venue: Forest Arts Centre, Hawbush Road, Leamore, Walsall WS3 1AG

EVENT OVERVIEW:

This subject leader network meetings will be:

  • A great opportunity for subject leaders to network & develop their practice
  • Sharing the latest subject specific news & updates
  • Facilitated by leading subject experts
  • Focused on the current “hot topics” for subject leaders

A full and more detailed overview of the session will be sent out to attendees prior to the meeting.

Introducing our Maths Network Facilitator – Vivien Townsend…

 

Vivien is our Maths Network Facilitator and is an experienced teacher and former LA adviser who now works as a consultant and trainer specialising in Primary mathematics.  Vivien’s CPD sessions are practical, fun and relevant, and delegates always leave with new ideas and strategies to transfer to their own classrooms. She has worked with many schools, subject leaders, teachers and teaching assistants across the Midlands (and beyond), always instilling an enthusiasm for the subject and sharing lots of practical and creative ideas. 

Vivien is an NCETM Professional Development Accredited Lead and is a member of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics, the Mathematical Association and the National Association of Mathematics Advisers.
