Overview

Our Attendance Leaders’ Network Development Meetings will provide an opportunity for colleagues to come together to:

  • Hear the latest news and updates on Attendance;
  • Dig deeper into common issues with school attendance and identify ways to overcome barriers;
  • Hear from a wide range of schools who will be sharing their stories of how they have improved attendance in their schools and settings;
  • Network with colleagues to share and develop their practice.

Session 2: Transform Your Attendance Culture – Progress, Reflection, and Next Steps  

Join us for a second engaging session designed to guide schools on their journey toward transforming attendance practices. Led by Wayne Harris, one of the UK’s leading consultants in attendance improvement, this session will help ensure you stay on track to change the culture of attendance in your school setting.

What to Expect

Programme Recap

We’ll revisit what we’ve covered so far during the first session, including training access and tools provided, while focusing on current national attendance data and policy updates.

Recap Deep Dive into Modules 1–6

Explore, and recap, on each of the Learning Modules posing key questions and strategies from each module, pausing to reflect on:

  •   Where your school started.
  •   Progress made so far.
  •   Sharing good practice and impactful changes observed across schools.

Implementation Programme Progress  

Assess your school’s current position in the implementation journey:

  •   Have you completed Stage 1?
  •   Are you moving toward Stage 2?

We’ll discuss common challenges and share how schools have overcome these to create positive change.

Planning Ahead 

Discover the next steps with our online self-assessment tool to help identify your school’s priorities and create a clear timeline for launching into the next stage of the programme.

We are delighted to be drawing on the expertise of Wayne Harris and colleagues from the Inclusive Attendance team, so we can support schools to embed effective practices that will really help to improve pupil attendance across their settings.

We will be using Zoom (online video conferencing software) to host this online event. If you have not used Zoom previously, you may need to download the Zoom software either to a laptop, PC, tablet or smartphone, prior to joining. When you have booked your place a link will be emailed to you, within 48 hours of the webinar, with further instructions about how to join the event.
