3D Making in the Primary Classroom

Led by Emily Gopaul

Are you ready to sculpt a world of creativity and innovation in your classroom? Join us for an exciting teacher training session focused on the power of 3D making in primary education.

Sculpting isn’t just about creating art—it’s about problemsolving and imaginative thinking. In this training, you’ll discover how sculpting activities can ignite students’ curiosity, foster critical thinking, and inspire creative solutions to challenges. Through the tactile process of shaping and moulding, students also strengthen their handeye coordination and dexterity, laying a foundation for success in writing, drawing, and other fine motor activities.

From clay modelling to mixed-media constructions, there are countless materials and techniques involved in 3D making. Through hands-on exploration and expert guidance, you’ll learn how to introduce these diverse sculpting methods to your students, creating engaging and dynamic learning experiences.

Sculpting isn’t just a solo endeavour, it’s perfect for collaborative working. Discover how sculpting projects can promote teamwork, communication, and cooperation among students, setting the stage for meaningful collaboration both in and out of the art lesson.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to enhance your teaching toolkit and inspire a love for sculpting in your students.
