Embedding Technology Across The Curriculum

Overview
The day is split into 3 sessions which build upon the success of our event with Mr P last year and promises to be packed full of ideas on how to enhance teaching and learning using technology, with a focus on emerging AI technology. Learn how AI functions and discover practical ways it can streamline administrative tasks. Explore strategies for introducing AI concepts to students. This course also delves into various tech tools that can save teachers time, making teaching more efficient and enjoyable.
Session one: Mr P will talk through how he implements the computing curriculum. He will breakdown the curriculum, discuss what each strand of the computing curriculum entails and share useful resources to best embed this across the curriculum.
Session two: Embracing AI in the classroom. Mr P will discuss how to best utilise all this emerging AI technology to not just save teachers time by radically reducing workload, but also inspire teachers to make learning more accessible for students and explores AI tools that can be used in class.
Session three: Mr P will continue to demonstrate a range of creative apps and tools to enhance the curriculum sharing real life examples. Teachers will have time to explore, tinker and build their own knowledge and confidence so they can hit the ground running as soon as they get back to class. The ideas aim not to just engage but empower our pupils and support them by removing barriers and allowing them to creatively demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways.

Lee Parkinson, Mr P, has been a Primary School Teacher for 15 years, during which time he has built a wealth of ideas for how technology can be embedded right across the curriculum. He continues to work part time in school and also leads CPD and INSET training throughout the UK and beyond, focusing on raising standards in the classroom through technology. Through his humorous and engaging approach to life in the classroom, he has been able to support and help teachers transform their curriculum to inspire, empower and make learning more purposeful and accessible for their pupils.
Mr P is passionate about helping as many teachers as possible get a decent work/life balance. He takes a blunt and frank approach to certain classroom practices before sharing ideas and approaches that help raise standards without creating unnecessary workload.
From sharing helpful advice, inspiring ideas and funny insights into life in the classroom, he has become one of the most followed teachers in the UK online. Mr P can also be seen as the resident ‘go to’ teacher on This Morning, alongside creating content in the education space for the BBC.
