Early Years Leaders’ Network Meeting

Led by Ruth Swailes

Overview

Our Early Years Network Development Meetings provide an opportunity for Early Years Leaders to come together to:

  • Find out about the latest national news and updates
  • Develop their skills & knowledge
  • Learn from new & innovative practice
  • Network with colleagues to share and develop their practice.

This session will focus on supporting children who need additional help in key areas, particularly Personal, Social, and Emotional Development (PSED) and social skills. We’ll explore how to integrate effective strategies into everyday classroom routines to help children develop the foundational skills they need for success. All adults, including support staff, play a crucial role, and we’ll discuss practical ways to identify children’s needs, understand barriers to progress, and move forward with targeted support.

Additionally, there will be a brief update on the latest insights from Ofsted and the DfE, acknowledging that much is still evolving under the new administration.

We will be running our local network meetings in a range of locations across the year and there will also be an online option.
