Early Years Network Meeting

Overview

Our Early Years Network offers a wealth of opportunities for Early Years Leaders to come together to receive expert guidance through professional development – enhancing their skills to help them to thrive in their role, keeping up to date with research and developments and fostering collaboration by creating a community for sharing best practices, resources and advice.

We will be running our local network meetings in a range of locations across the year and there will also be an online option.

DATE: Thursday 7th May 2026

TIME: 09:00-12:00

VENUE: ONLINE – ZOOM meeting (a link will be sent out a week before)

OR

DATE: Tuesday 19th May 2026

TIME: 09:00-12:00

VENUE: St Michael’s Church Centre, Church Lane, Budbrooke, CV35 8QL

COST: £115 for non-subscribing schools

We will be using Zoom (online video conferencing software) to host the online event. If you have not used Zoom previously, you may need to download the Zoom software either to a laptop, PC, tablet or smartphone, prior to joining. When you have booked your place a link will be emailed to you within 48 hours of the webinar, with further instructions about how to join the event. Sessions are interactive so please ensure you have access to a microphone and camera to get the most out of this event.

Ruth Swailes has over 30 years’ experience in education and has taught every year group from Nursery to year 6. She has held a range of senior leadership roles including primary headship. Ruth has worked as a School Improvement Advisor, Inspector, Early Years Advisor, strategic lead and consultant in several Local Authorities and has a proven track record of supporting schools to improve outcomes for children.

Ruth’s particular passion is working with children in the 0–7 range and she currently works with settings, providers, MATs, LAs, Hubs and schools nationally and internationally providing training and support. Ruth Is the lead developer, author and trainer for the Oxford University Press International Early Years Curriculum for children aged 2–6. She was named Nursery World Trainer of the Year in 2021 and recognised by ISC research as a leading influencer in International Education in 2022. She has written several books about Early Education.
