I have over 30 years’ experience in education and have been an education improvement adviser for the last 7 years. Having undertaken two headships in the secondary and alternative sectors, I now receive training every academic year on the common inspection framework in order to prepare primary, secondary and independent schools for Ofsted and ISI visits and to ensure teaching and learning is maximising pupil outcomes.
I am a national leader in safeguarding working as an associate for the National Association of Headteachers offering advice and guidance to Headteachers on complex safeguarding issues. I also visit schools all around the country carrying out safeguarding audits, therefore experiencing the best practice to pass onto other schools. As a training partner for the National Association of Headteachers I deliver advanced DSL training to DSL teams nationally, as well as other key topics such as Preparing for Ofsted and maximising financial efficiencies.
I also deliver NPQ modules and assessment for several universities both in the UK and overseas and work closely with the Department for Education supporting academies and MATs who are experiencing financial or structural issues.
