Our English Network termly development meetings provide an opportunity for subject leaders to come together to:
• Find out about the latest national news, updates and research;
• Develop their skills & knowledge;
• Learn from new & innovative practice and
• Network with colleagues to share and develop their practice.
Join Ruth at the first English meeting of the year to discuss your priorities for the coming months, share concerns and solutions with colleagues from across the region, and catch-up with the latest national messages, including the implications of the Reading Framework (2023).
In response to last year’s feedback, we will also be talking about what adaptive teaching looks like for all pupil groups in English and how we might better engage parents in supporting reading at home.
There will plenty of time to network and raise questions about the areas of English that are high on your agenda this year (we may even have a chat about spelling as this is still in the forefront of many leaders’ minds).
Please bring a newly discovered children’s book with you to share during our book talk starter!
We will be running our local network meetings in a range of locations across the year and there will also be an online option.
