This session will offer examples of the types of support and challenge that Governors should look to provide in their role.

We will be using Zoom (online video conferencing software) to host this online event. If you have not used Zoom previously, you may need to download the Zoom software either to a laptop, PC, tablet or smartphone, prior to joining. When you have booked your place a link will be emailed to you, within 48 hours of the webinar, with further instructions about how to join the event.

Catherine Nyman is a highly experienced and dedicated school improvement professional with over 33 years experience in the education sector. She specialises in school improvement and school leadership; strategic planning and evaluation; effective and dynamic practice in Literacy and effective and targeted use of the Pupil Premium Grant, leading dynamic teams in schools and in a wider region. Catherine works with schools, LA’s, Academy teams and any other leader or settings that needs support and challenge. She always has the children, their experiences and provision at the heart of her work.
Catherine is also a qualified, solution focused and supportive coach. She works across the West Midlands. as a leadership and a life coach, Catherine coaches colleagues from business and education. She has a BA (Hons), PGCE in Primary Education, M.Ed in School Improvement and has also NPQH. Catherine trained in the Power of Coaching and has successfully gained the Post Graduate Diploma in Coaching from Warwick University. She remains up to date in her professional practice attending seminars, training and has regular coaching supervision.
