This course focuses on what governors and Trust Boards need to know and do to be able to fulfill their safeguarding role.

Our Governor Development Programme is a high-quality, evidence informed CPD programme for governors. This FULLY ONLINE programme includes termly, live twilight sessions led by expert facilitators, open for up to 3 of your governors per live session. You will also have access to the recordings of all sessions which can be shared with ALL governors back in school. We have brought together a team of expert facilitators, highly experienced in their fields and also in supporting school and trust governing boards. These sessions have been designed to be both accessible and support Governors to have a positive impact in their role.

COST: £115 per person (for non-subscribing schools)
We will be using Zoom (online video conferencing software) to host this online event. If you have not used Zoom previously, you may need to download the Zoom software either to a laptop, PC, tablet or smartphone, prior to joining. When you have booked your place a link will be emailed to you, within 48 hours of the webinar, with further instructions about how to join the event.
The recording of this session will only be available to schools that have purchased the Governor Development+ Subscription.

Philippa Ollerhead
Philippa has over 35 years’ experience in education and has been an education improvement adviser for the last 8 years. Having undertaken two headships in the secondary and alternative sectors, she now receives training every academic year in the rigours of the common inspection framework in order to prepare primary, secondary and independent school leaders and governors for Ofsted and ISI visits and to ensure teaching and learning is maximising pupil outcomes.
She is a training partner for the National Association of Headteachers delivering courses for senior leaders across the country, and works with schools, both maintained and academised, and academy trusts across the country supporting leaders to maximise pupil outcomes and prepare for external audit.
