This term our Maths Network meeting will be online. This interactive webinar will support Maths subject leaders to develop their skills & knowledge, learn from new & innovative practice and find out about the latest news and updates.

NETWORK MEETING: (ONLINE)

During this session Viv will be sharing the latest news and updates for Maths leaders, plus we will be looking at aspects of practice that are useful and meaningful at this time. The session will provide some inspiration, useful information and a valuable opportunity to network with colleagues.

A more detailed agenda will be available nearer the time.

MATHS SURGERY:

NEW FOR 2021-22… Our new termly “Maths Surgery” is an informal online drop-in session for colleagues to bring questions, share ideas and develop practice. More information will be shared at our first network meeting.


Schools who subscribe to the Gateway Alliance – MATHS subject leader network have 1 FREE place per school. 

Costs will be incurred for additional places and for schools that do not subscribe. Please contact us for details.

ACCESSING THE ONLINE SESSIONS: We will be using Zoom (online video conferencing software) to host the sessions. After you have booked your place a link will be emailed to you 1 week before the event (for both the network meeting AND the online surgery) with further instructions about how to join the meeting.

Vivien Townsend

Viv is our Maths Network Leader and is an experienced teacher and former LA adviser who now works as a consultant and trainer specialising in Primary mathematics.  Vivien’s CPD sessions are practical, fun and relevant, and delegates always leave with new ideas and strategies to transfer to their own classrooms. She has worked with many schools, subject leaders, teachers and teaching assistants across the Midlands (and beyond), always instilling an enthusiasm for the subject and sharing lots of practical and creative ideas.

Vivien is an NCETM Professional Development Accredited Lead and is a member of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics, the Mathematical Association and the National Association of Mathematics Advisers.
