Overview
Throughout the day, Steve will explore the beliefs, values and behaviours that underpin a positive maths culture and support all children to thrive in mathematics.
Sessions across the day will focus on sharing engaging, practical and easy-to-use resources and approaches to support all children thrive in mathematics and address some of the big issues on the current mathematical landscape including:

VENUE: Heart of England Conference Centre, Meriden Rd, Fillongley, Coventry, CV7 8DX
COST: £230 per person for non-subscribing schools

Schools who subscribe to the Gateway Alliance – MATHS subject leader network have 1 FREE place on each session, per school.

Steve Lomax
Steve has been working with headteachers, subject leaders, teachers, children and young people for over thirty years. Steve is passionate about fostering positive ‘can do’ attitudes and strengthen school leadership and teaching to enable all pupils to enjoy and achieve in mathematics.
Through his current, and previous roles, of Senior Lead for the GLOW Maths Hub, GITEP SCITT Lead Mentor, Mathematics Adviser for Gloucestershire (4-19), NCETM Specialist Adviser, Mathematics Subject Leader, AST and SLE, Steve has a proven track record of leading change in education, raising standards, improving the subject expertise of teachers, and supporting schools to provide an exciting, inclusive and ambitious curriculum. He is a NCETM Accredited CPD and School Development Lead, NPQ Facilitator and supported the national development of the DfE NCETM Maths Hub Teaching for Mastery programme. Steve co-founded KangarooMaths and CanDoMaths.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys authoring maths resources, trying to stand up on his paddle board … and gets 110% frustrated with the misuse of mathematics in daily life!
