Maths Subject Leader Development Meetings

Overview
Our Maths Network termly development meetings provide an opportunity for subject leaders to come together to:
Each session will ensure attendees are up-to-date with current goings-on in the maths education world, and, through our community, allow for opportunities for maths leaders to share and solve each other’s current concerns.
We will be running our local network meetings in a range of locations across the year and there will also be an online option.
DATE: Thursday 4th June 2026
TIME: 09:00- 12:00
LOCATION: St Michael’s Church Centre, Church Ln, Budbrooke, Warwick CV35 8QL

DATE: Monday 8th June 2026
TIME: 13:00-16:00
LOCATION: ONLINE – ZOOM meeting (a link will be sent out a week before)
We will be using Zoom (online video conferencing software) to host this online event. If you have not used Zoom previously, you may need to download the Zoom software either to a laptop, PC, tablet or smartphone, prior to joining. When you have booked your place a link will be emailed to you within 48 hours of the webinar, with further instructions about how to join the event. Sessions are interactive so please ensure you have access to a microphone and camera to get the most out of this event.
COST: £115 for non-subscribing schools
Schools who subscribe to the Gateway Alliance – MATHS subject leader network have 1 FREE place per school.
Costs will be incurred for additional places and for schools that do not subscribe. Please refer to our terms and conditions for further details.

Tom Manners
Tom Manners is an Evidence Lead in Education for the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and has worked across a number of schools and multi-academy trusts in various positions including Trust Maths Lead and Assistant Head. He is a NCETM Professional Development lead and “Teaching for Mastery” specialist through the Central Maths Hub. Alongside these roles, he trains the next generation of teachers as a PGCE Tutor at Arthur Terry SCITT in Birmingham and as an Associate Lecturer for Birmingham City University.
