SENCo Network Conference

Overview

Get ready for an exciting and insightful day as we hear from a diverse lineup of speakers, tackling themes that are crucial to supporting children Speech, Language and Communication needs.  Language is fundamental to learning, yet an increasing number of children lack the necessary skills, which can affect their educational progress. The first step in addressing SLCN is raising awareness and understanding. We will focus on:

  • The lived experience of a young person with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and what great teachers for children with SLCN look like
  • The importance of understanding how language develops from birth and how we can identify when it is not progressing as it should.
  • What a communication friendly school and communication friendly classroom looks like
  • The important features of effective targeted support for children with SLCN
  • A speed networking session on Speech and Language solutions that can make an impact in your school.
