This term our SENCo Network meeting will be online. This interactive webinar will support SENCo’s to develop their skills & knowledge, learn from new & innovative practice and find out about the latest news and updates.
NETWORK MEETING: (ONLINE)
During this session Kate will be sharing the latest news and updates for SENCo’s, plus we will be looking at aspects of practice that are useful and meaningful at this time. The session will provide some inspiration, useful information and a valuable opportunity to network with colleagues.
SENCo Network Meeting Autumn Term 1
At this term’s SENCO Leadership meeting we will have a dual focus.
Firstly, we will be exploring the tricky area of assessment for children with SEND; to what extent is the assessment and tracking of progress for all children also inclusive of all abilities and how can we ensure our approach is formative and provides a view of the whole child?
The second half of our session will focus on PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance). This will be a Take-Away session which means you will be able to use it as a CPD session that you can deliver back at school to your staff. It will provide an overview of what is meant by PDA and its relationship with ASC, how PDA might present in children and what are the important strategies for support.
NEW FOR 2021-22… Our new termly “SENCo Surgery” is an informal online drop-in session for colleagues to bring questions, share ideas and develop practice. More information will be shared at our first network meeting.
Schools who subscribe to the Gateway Alliance – SENCO network have 1 FREE place per school.
