SENCo Network Meeting

Led by Kate Browning

Overview

Our SENCo Network termly development meetings provide an opportunity for SENCos to come together to:

• Find out about the latest national news and updates;
• Develop their skills & knowledge;
• Learn from new & innovative practice
• Network with colleagues to share and develop their practice.

This term’s SENCo Network Meeting will focus on three main areas:

  1. National Updates: A summary of the latest government policies, guidance, and legislation affecting SEND provision, including any funding or resource changes that may impact schools.
  2. Managing Complex Needs: Exploring this pertinent topic for schools, sharing practical strategies for assessing and supporting pupils with complex needs including case studies.
  3. Emotional-Based School Avoidance (EBSA): Exploring effective interventions to address school avoidance linked to anxiety and emotional difficulties. This session will include insights into understanding triggers, working with families and developing tailored reintegration plans.

As always there will be opportunities to share practice, network with colleagues and discuss challenges faced within schools.

We will be running our local network meetings in a range of locations across the year and there will also be an online option.
