Being able to meet and talk to other SENCos from across the region and share advice, frustrations and provide support for one another has been great. A particular highlight for me has been the regular national updates presented by Kate. Having recently completed the SENCo Award where Kate led many of the sessions, knowing that I am still hearing these important messages has been reassuring. I have lost count of the number of tips and practical ideas that I have taken away from the sessions and implemented in my own school. The online Gateway tools have also been very helpful and being able to access the resources and slides has meant that I have been able to share key messages and ideas back at school.”
